  • Impact investing needs to start with widening the net of minority and women controlled fund managers, who in turn have a unique perspective and lense on investing in minority controlled entrepreneurs.
  • With their fiduciary responsibilities in check, together we can increase the access to risk capital for minority controlled businesses (debt or equity).
  • Become a leading pillar in impact investing and equality in the Venture Capital space through advocacy and awareness campaigns for minority VC's.
  • Women make up 2.6% of fund managers, and 2.2% of VC dollars go to women entrepreneurs.
  • Minority statistics are even more dire, of the $85 Billion in VC in 2018, under 1.1% is controlled by minority fund managers. And worse still less than .5% of VC dollars are going to minority entrepreneurs even though they support over 4 million jobs.

  2. Target of the initiatives is $1 Billion by 2022 for forward investing in minority owned operating businesses.
  3.  In 2016, the Center for Global Policy Solutions reported that due to discriminatory financing practices, America is losing out on over 1.1 million minority-owned businesses, and as a result, foregoing over 9 million potential jobs and $300 billion in collective national income.  Less than 1% of American venture capital-backed founders are black and the percentage of Black's in decision making roles within Venture Capital isn't much better.
  4. Working with LP's who have an ESG, SDG and Impact Investing mandate and focus to drive equality, job creation and prosperity.
  5. Manage a $100M Fund of Fund, that invests in emerging and experienced minority fund managers in Low Income Communities.
